Farmer’s Almanac names Watertown one of best winter weather cities

Watertown’s transformation into a winter wonderland nearly every year is attracting national attention.

Last week, Watertown was named one of the top five winter weather cities in the country in the Farmer’s Almanac’s latest edition.

The other four cities — Key West, Fla.; San Diego, Phoenix and Flagstaff, Ariz. — are well-known locales for those who want to escape the cold. Flagstaff is the only other city on the list known for its powdery slopes and access to miles of cross-country ski trails.

The article, titled “Seasonal Weather Champions,” lists the top five best winter and summer weather cities.
